The Canton Reference 3 Walnut Matt is a 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker engineered to provide accurate, distortion-free sound with authentic spatial imaging. Its edge-free, curved cabinet design ensures both a modern aesthetic and optimal acoustic performance, creating ideal conditions for dynamic, detailed music reproduction.

The speaker uses Black Ceramic Tungsten (BCT) diaphragms for the midrange and woofers. In these diaphragms, 25% of the aluminum molecular structure is converted into ceramic and reinforced with tungsten and additional metal particles, achieving an ideal stiffness-to-weight ratio and reducing unwanted resonance. The midrange driver incorporates TCC technology to stabilize the diaphragm and minimize distortion. The latest-generation bass guide ensures even low-frequency distribution and flexible speaker placement in medium-sized rooms.

High-quality crossover components, including air coils, film capacitors, and low-loss resistors, enable precise interaction between the four drivers. Two 192 mm woofers produce deep, controlled bass down to 20 Hz. The 174 mm midrange driver provides authentic vocal and instrumental reproduction, while the 25 mm aluminum oxide ceramic tweeter delivers detailed, clear highs. All drivers are flush-mounted into a rounded baffle and enhanced with asymmetrical waveguide rings (POM) to optimize dispersion. Magnetic, acoustically neutral fabric covers protect the drivers without affecting performance.

The multi-layer laminate cabinet provides rigidity, and the Walnut Matt finish adds a refined, natural appearance while maintaining acoustic neutrality. WBT Nextgen binding posts allow single, bi-wiring, and bi-amping connections, with high-quality copper bridges included for conventional setups.
