The JBL M2 Master Reference Monitor is a high-performance, free-standing 2-way system designed to provide exceptional accuracy and dynamic range for professional studios, broadcast, and cinema production. Developed to meet the growing demand for precise reference monitoring, the M2 features JBL’s latest high-output, ultra-low distortion transducers to deliver consistent, reliable performance in any environment.

Equipped with a D2430K dual diaphragm, dual voice coil high-frequency driver and a 2216Nd 15-inch Differential Drive® woofer, the M2 achieves a flat, in-room frequency response from 20 Hz to 40 kHz. The system provides a maximum SPL of 123 dB and continuous SPL of 117 dB at 1 meter, ensuring impactful dynamic range for both music and post-production applications. Its LSR Linear Spatial Reference design guarantees uniform directivity, smooth in-room response, precise imaging, and a wide sound stage for critical listening environments.

The M2 requires external amplification, supporting either a Crown® iTech 5000HD for each speaker or a Crown® iTech 3x3500HD for dual-speaker setups. The system is built in a 25 mm MDF enclosure finished in satin black lacquer, with a removable ABS grille covered in black UL-compliant fabric. Compact yet powerful, the M2 combines high-frequency detail, extended low-frequency performance, and low power compression, making it a versatile solution for any professional monitoring scenario.
