JBL VLA-C125S Dual 15-inch Subwoofer with Differential Drive
The JBL VLA-C125S Dual 15-inch Subwoofer with Differential Drive® is a compact, high-output line array module optimized for permanent installations and professional audio applications. Its dual 15-inch neodymium Differential Drive® transducers with dual 3-inch voice coils provide high SPL output, low distortion, and extended low-frequency response. Designed for permanent installations, the system combines lightweight advanced transducer technology with robust weatherized construction for long-term reliability.
The enclosure is constructed from multi-layer reinforced fiberglass with 18 mm birch plywood internal bracing, finished with a gelcoat for durability. Zinc-plated, powder-coated 14-gauge perforated steel grilles with acoustically transparent cloth backing, hydrophobic mesh, and a waterproof rail system protect the drivers against dust and moisture. Rated IP55, the subwoofer withstands dust and jets of water, making it suitable for outdoor environments.
The VLA-C125S integrates a comprehensive rigging system with pre-set inter-box angles for line array assembly. Accessories include bracket plates, pull-back bars, and optional cardioid kits, allowing flexible system configurations and controlled directivity. Amplification is provided by Crown DCi family amps with onboard DSP for optimized performance. This subwoofer achieves 127 dB continuous and 133 dB peak SPL with 1600W continuous power handling and supports advanced cardioid subwoofer setups for high-quality low-frequency control.
