The JBL VTX B28 Dual 18 in. Subwoofer is a next-generation low-frequency system engineered to complement JBL’s flagship VTX full-range loudspeakers. Designed for high-impact touring productions and premium fixed installations, the VTX B28 delivers uncompromised bass performance, even in the most demanding live sound environments.

The system features two JBL 2288H-M 18-inch Differential Drive woofers, providing exceptional linearity, extended excursion, and high output capability. This advanced dual voice-coil design enhances thermal efficiency, reduces power compression, and ensures consistent low-frequency performance. A large double-flared port design improves airflow efficiency, increases low-frequency extension down to 25 Hz, and minimizes turbulence at high SPL levels.

The enclosure is constructed from Finnish birch plywood with a durable Black DuraFlex finish and includes four integral recessed handles for convenient handling. A simple two-point spring-loaded rigging system with captive suspension plates and a two-step safety lock enables flown arrays of up to 16 enclosures. Three integrated M20 pole mount points allow seamless ground-stacked configurations when paired with compatible base plates from A-Series systems.

Supporting both omnidirectional and cardioid deployment modes, the VTX B28 integrates fully with Crown I-Tech HD amplification and JBL system software for precise control and prediction.
