The Focal Sopra N°2 Macassar Ebony is a high-end 3-way floor-standing loudspeaker designed to combine compact dimensions, advanced acoustic engineering, and refined visual aesthetics. Suitable for listening rooms up to 30 m² and capable of filling larger spaces up to 70 m², this speaker delivers detailed and immersive sound performance approaching the standards of Focal’s flagship Utopia series.

At the core of the Sopra N°2 are advanced driver technologies that ensure exceptional sound clarity and transparency. Two 7″ (18 cm) W-cone woofers provide deep, controlled bass with excellent articulation, while the 6.5″ (16.5 cm) W-cone midrange driver incorporates TMD suspension and NIC motor technology to minimize distortion and improve midrange accuracy. High frequencies are reproduced by a precise 27 mm IHL Beryllium inverted dome tweeter, delivering extended treble response and fine detail reproduction.

The cabinet structure follows the Focus Time design concept, where the upper and lower sections of the enclosure are angled to align the drivers perfectly with the listening position. This design enhances acoustic convergence and produces a well-balanced, realistic soundstage. The Macassar Ebony wood finish highlights the craftsmanship of the cabinet while contributing to the speaker’s elegant appearance.

A tempered glass base helps reduce unwanted vibration, while the visible decoupling spikes improve stability and acoustic isolation.
