The Sonus Faber Lumina II Amator is a refined 2-way bookshelf loudspeaker designed to deliver natural, precise, and emotionally engaging sound in a compact form. Built as an enhanced version within the Lumina series, it benefits from improved crossover engineering and careful acoustic optimization for better clarity and spatial coherence.

High frequencies are handled by a 1-1/8-inch silk D.A.D. (Damped Apex Dome) tweeter, which ensures smooth, extended treble reproduction with fine detail and controlled response. A 6-inch paper cone woofer manages both midrange and low-frequency output, delivering natural vocals, balanced tonality, and tight, articulate bass.

The upgraded IFF crossover network, set at 2600 Hz, improves phase alignment between drivers and reduces distortion, resulting in a more unified and coherent soundstage. This enhances musical accuracy and provides a more realistic listening experience.

The cabinet is constructed from non-resonant multi-layer wood to ensure structural rigidity and minimize unwanted vibrations. The Walnut wood veneer finish adds a warm, classic aesthetic while preserving acoustic integrity. The exterior detailing reflects Sonus Faber’s focus on craftsmanship and natural materials.

With a frequency response of 55 Hz to 24,000 Hz, sensitivity of 86 dB, and recommended amplification between 30W and 150W, the Lumina II Amator in Walnut finish is well suited for compact stereo systems and nearfield listening setups. Dual binding posts provide support for bi-wiring or bi-amping configurations.
