Combining precision, adaptability and a small footprint, the Genelec 8330A offers colour-free performance alongside powerful room compensation features. The choice of professionals for whom power and flexibility go hand-in-hand, the 8330A is as acoustically impressive as it is smart, courtesy of Genelec’s Smart Active Monitoring (SAM) technology.
Housing a 5-inch woofer and 3/4-inch tweeter, the Class-D bi-amplified, two-way monitor is compact enough for space-constrained studios yet capable of exceeding demanding client expectations. Two 50W amplifiers deliver an SPL of up to 110dB, with low-distortion low-frequency reproduction extending down to 45Hz.
Colour-free accuracy is delivered by the pressure-cast aluminium Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE), while the Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW) ensures precise frequency reproduction both on and off axis. Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) software delivers AutoCal automated calibration, ensuring the monitoring system is perfectly matched to the listening environment, compensating for detrimental room influences.
The 8330A accepts both balanced analogue XLR input and AES/EBU digital input and output, with networking handled via GLM 2.0 and CAT5 connections, allowing daisy-chaining of multiple monitors. Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) power management and the included Iso-Pod stand round out a monitor built for project studios, immersive audio arrays and demanding post-production setups.
