The active design of the G Two removes the need for bulky external power amplifiers, since dedicated amplifiers for the woofer and tweeter are contained within the speaker cabinet itself. This gives high-quality internal amplification that is totally optimised for the drivers it feeds, allowing a sound source to be hooked up directly to the G Two for clean, uncompromised performance.

Genelec’s die-cast aluminium Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE) and Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW) technology, drawn directly from the company’s professional studio monitor range, minimize cabinet-edge diffraction and shape dispersion for a wide, accurate listening area, delivering the same design principles used in facilities trusted by the world’s top music and film professionals.

With no energy lost in passive crossover filter components, the amplifier’s power output requirements are reduced considerably compared to a passive design, improving transient response and overall system efficiency. Rear-panel room compensation switches let the G Two be tailored for close-wall, corner or freestanding placement in a home environment.
