The largest model in the G Series, the flagship Genelec G Five has both the power and physical dimensions to produce pure, uncoloured audio at higher listening levels and in larger spaces. It brings the full weight of Genelec’s professional acoustic design experience into a home loudspeaker built for serious listening rooms and dedicated home theatres.

The G Five’s active design contains its amplifiers directly within the speaker cabinet, delivering a maximum output rating of 110dB SPL that fills all but the largest and most heavily damped rooms. It reaches down to 35Hz (-3dB), a full 10Hz deeper than the G Four, thanks to a larger enclosure and an 8-inch woofer, giving it substantial low-end presence even without a dedicated subwoofer.

A 1-inch aluminium dome tweeter, larger than in smaller G Series models, handles the additional SPL headroom required and allows the crossover to drop to 1.8kHz to suit the larger diameter mid-bass driver. Genelec’s Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE) and Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW) technology deliver the same accurate, wide-dispersion performance found throughout the G Series and Genelec’s professional monitor range.

Rear-panel Low Bass, Bass and Treble adjustment controls let listeners customise the G Five’s response for its position in the room, particularly useful when placed near boundaries or on stands close to walls. As the range-topping G Series model, the G Five delivers Genelec’s studio pedigree at home listening levels and room sizes that smaller G models cannot match.
