Klipsch The Fives II Powered Speaker Pair – Walnut
The Klipsch The Fives II Walnut is a powered monitor pair designed to handle music, television and connected audio sources within one stereo system. Its integrated Onkyo electronics combine amplification, decoding and signal processing, allowing the speakers to act as the centre of a compact setup without a separate stereo amplifier.
A 1-inch titanium LTS vented tweeter works through a Tractrix horn above a 5.25-inch Jet Cerametallic woofer in each cabinet. The bass-reflex enclosure uses a rear-facing port, and the one-piece BMC baffle increases rigidity to reduce unwanted resonance. Genuine Walnut wood veneer provides a warmer visual character around the acoustic components.
An HDMI input and HDMI eARC output simplify connection to a television and compatible video source. HDMI 2.1 passthrough supports features including variable refresh rate and automatic low latency mode. Dolby Atmos is reproduced using virtual height channels, while Music, Movie and Direct modes offer different playback approaches for the connected entertainment sources.
Network playback includes Google Cast, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Qobuz Connect. The speakers offer both dual-band Wi-Fi and Ethernet, with Bluetooth 5.4 available for direct streaming. Separate RCA phono and analogue inputs accommodate turntables and line-level equipment, alongside optical digital and USB-C audio connections for other sources.
The primary speaker connects to its companion through a four-conductor speaker cable. Top-mounted metal controls, a backlit remote and mobile app integration provide convenient access to everyday settings. Dialogue enhancement and a five-band equalizer support further adjustment, and the RCA subwoofer output allows the stereo system to be extended with a suitable powered subwoofer.
