The Audeze LCD-2 Closed Back is a high-performance planar magnetic headphone designed for immersive listening, studio monitoring, and private high-fidelity audio playback. Combining the signature warmth of the original LCD-2 series with a closed-back acoustic design, the headphone delivers powerful bass response, rich midrange detail, and improved sound isolation without sacrificing spacious imaging performance.
Equipped with large 106 mm neodymium planar magnetic transducers, the LCD-2 Closed Back provides fast transient response, wide dynamic range, and low distortion across a broad 10 Hz to 50 kHz frequency range. The modified driver architecture enhances soundstage presentation beyond typical closed-back headphone designs, creating a more open and natural listening experience while maintaining acoustic isolation.
The headphone preserves the warm and energetic sound signature associated with the LCD Origins series, delivering detailed yet forgiving playback suitable for extended listening sessions. By removing the Fazor phase management element used in previous LCD-2 generations, the tuning emphasizes musical engagement, powerful low frequencies, and smooth tonal presentation.
