The AVM Rotation AVM .3 Cadenza Blue is a sophisticated Moving Coil cartridge that serves as a cornerstone of AVM’s analog eco system. Developed in close cooperation with Ortofon, this “Blue” variant is specifically tuned for listeners who prioritize rhythm, energy, and microscopic detail. It is the designated reference cartridge used during the development and tonal tuning of the AVM ROTATION R 2.3 MK2 turntable.The technical heart of the Cadenza Blue is its Nude FG 70 (Fritz Gyger) diamond stylus, which is mounted on an incredibly stiff and lightweight ruby cantilever. This material choice is critical; the ruby cantilever provides a near-instantaneous transient response, allowing the cartridge to track complex musical passages—such as fast-paced jazz or large orchestral crescendos—with breathtaking clarity and zero “smearing.”

Internally, the cartridge utilizes coils wound with 6NX (99.9999%) pure silver wire. This high-purity conductor ensures a transparent signal path with minimal resistance, resulting in a vibrant, “airy” high-frequency extension and a deep, controlled bass response. An improved winding process on the armature ensures superior channel balance, creating a grandiose and precisely focused soundstage.

Encased in a rigid stainless steel and aluminum housing, the AVM .3 Cadenza Blue is shielded from unwanted mechanical resonances. With its slightly higher output of 0.5 mV compared to the “Black” flagship, it is an ideal match for a wide range of high-quality MC phono preamplifiers, providing a high signal-to-noise ratio and a remarkably quiet background for your vinyl collection.
