The JBL Control 42C Ultra-Compact Satellite Loudspeaker is an in-ceiling mid-high speaker specifically designed for use in subwoofer-satellite audio systems. Engineered to integrate seamlessly with the JBL Control 40CS/T in-ceiling subwoofer, it delivers natural, high-fidelity sound while maintaining minimal visual impact. Its compact form factor allows discreet installation, making it ideal for environments where performance and aesthetics must coexist.
The Control 42C supports flexible system configurations, allowing either two or four satellite speakers to be driven from a single in-ceiling subwoofer. The crossover for the subwoofer-satellite system is built into the subwoofer, enabling simple system design and clean signal management. The speaker supports both low-impedance operation and 70V/100V distributed audio systems when used with compatible subwoofers, making it adaptable to a wide range of commercial and professional audio installations.
Designed for durability and reliability, the Control 42C features a formed steel backcan, a fire-rated ABS baffle, and plenum-rated construction.
