The JBL Control HST wide-coverage speaker is designed for commercial indoor and outdoor spaces, delivering consistent, high-fidelity audio with minimal wall-reflection distortion. Featuring a 5-1/4-inch wall-facing woofer and two horizontally splayed CMMD-treated aluminum tweeters, this speaker produces clear lows, detailed mids, and precise highs across a broad 180° horizontal and 160° vertical coverage. HST (High Sound Technology) reduces interference from wall reflections, providing a flatter frequency response and consistent sound character throughout the listening area.

The Control HST is built with rugged fiberglass-reinforced ABS enclosures and a painted aluminum grille, ensuring long-term durability and reliability in challenging environments. IP54-rated, the speaker resists dust, water, UV, humidity, and salt spray, meeting Mil Spec 810 and ASTM G85 standards for harsh conditions.

Equipped with a 1.6 kHz crossover network, the system integrates a 25 mm CMMD ceramic metal matrix diaphragm woofer and dual tweeters with neodymium magnets, fluid cooling, polyurethane surrounds, and polyimide bobbins. It supports 8-ohm direct operation or 70V/100V distributed systems with selectable transformer taps up to 60 W.

Installation is secure and straightforward using the included U-bracket and four M6 mounting points, with an additional point for secondary safety cable. The speaker’s tapered cabinet design, wall-facing woofer, and splayed tweeters minimize acoustic reflections, allowing for accurate and uniform sound distribution. With compact dimensions and selectable black or white finishes, the Control HST blends discreetly into any professional space while delivering reliable, high-performance audio for indoor or semi-outdoor applications.
