The JBL VTX B18 Single 18 in. Subwoofer is a next-generation low-frequency solution engineered to complement JBL VTX full-range sound reinforcement systems. Designed for touring productions and high-end installations, the VTX B18 combines advanced transducer technology with a compact, array-compatible enclosure for maximum performance and deployment flexibility.

At the core of the system is the JBL 2288H 18-inch woofer, developed for enhanced linearity, increased sensitivity, and extended excursion capability. Built on JBL’s Differential Drive dual voice-coil, dual magnetic gap architecture, the 2288H delivers superior heat dissipation, reduced power compression, and expanded dynamic range compared to conventional single-coil designs.

The enclosure integrates JBL’s patented Slip Stream™ double-flared exponential port design, optimizing airflow while minimizing turbulence and port noise—even at high output levels. Sharing the same industrial design, width, and suspension hardware as the VTX A8, the VTX B18 enables seamless integration in flown or ground-stacked systems. It supports both omnidirectional and cardioid array configurations, with deployment options for arrays of up to 16 enclosures.

Constructed from Finnish birch plywood with a Black DuraFlex™ finish and six integral recessed handles, the VTX B18 is built for durability and ease of handling. Integrated spring-loaded rigging hardware simplifies setup, while front and rear NL4 connectors and a channel-selection switch streamline cable management. Fully compatible with JBL system prediction and control software, the VTX B18 provides precise system tuning and reliable, high-output bass performance for professional applications.
