The Monitor Audio CLG-W12 is a high-performance passive outdoor subwoofer engineered for discreet underground installation within premium landscape audio systems. Designed as part of Monitor Audio’s Climate Garden System, the CLG-W12 combines advanced bandpass acoustic technology, powerful low-frequency performance, and weather-resistant construction to deliver deep and controlled bass across gardens, patios, decks, and outdoor entertainment spaces.
The subwoofer features a long-throw 12-inch C-CAM cone sub-bass driver housed within a waterproof rotationally moulded polymer enclosure buried beneath the garden surface. Only the compact domed output port remains visible above ground, enabling highly discreet system integration while maintaining powerful low-frequency projection throughout the outdoor listening area. The proprietary bandpass cabinet design improves bass efficiency and delivers punchy, articulate low frequencies extending down to 30 Hz.
Designed to integrate seamlessly with CLG140 and CLG160 satellite speakers, the CLG-W12 enhances full-range outdoor audio performance by adding deep bass response while maintaining balanced mids and highs. The system supports both 4-ohm and 70/100-volt line operation, enabling flexible installation design and long cable runs. In distributed landscape systems, satellite speakers can be daisy-chained to the subwoofer for simplified large-area outdoor coverage.
The robust moulded enclosure construction minimizes structural joints, improving long-term waterproof reliability and resistance to demanding environmental conditions. Certified to IP54 standards, the CLG-W12 is suitable for permanent outdoor installations in gardens, patio areas, planter boxes, and commercial outdoor environments.
