Designed with Naim’s latest network card featuring LVDS technology, it supports high-resolution audio decoding up to 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD128, ensuring detailed and accurate sound reproduction across a wide range of formats.

The internal architecture uses a SHARC DSP with 40-bit precision to oversample incoming audio signals, which are then processed through a PCM1791A Burr-Brown digital-to-analogue converter. This configuration allows the DAC clock to control the data flow, significantly reducing jitter and preserving timing accuracy for a more natural listening experience.

The ND5 XS 2 offers extensive connectivity, including digital optical and coaxial inputs, USB support, and analogue outputs via RCA and DIN. Wireless streaming options include AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Google Cast, and UPnP streaming, alongside integrated support for platforms such as Spotify Connect, TIDAL, and Qobuz. Internet radio and Roon Ready functionality further enhance its versatility.
