Description
RCF BP1 Analog and AES Breakout Rack Panel
The RCF BP1 is a rackmount breakout panel for analog and AES/EBU audio connections. Its front interface combines two nineteen-pin S-COM connectors with four male XLR connections for digital audio. The one-unit format places these connection groups together in a compatible professional audio rack.
Each S-COM connector connects to a group of six female XLR flying cables at the rear. The four front male XLR connections are linked to rear female XLR cables for AES/EBU patching. This arrangement separates the external multipin connections from the individual cables used inside the rack.
The panel places the compatible connection groups at an accessible rack interface while the rear cables serve the corresponding internal equipment. Planning the rack around these front and rear connections helps keep each cable associated with its intended device. The connector formats and signal roles should be considered together when preparing the complete rack layout.
Its rackmount format is intended for integration with the associated professional audio equipment. Reserve the specified panel space and allow access to the rear cable connections when arranging the rack. The panel provides a physical patching interface, while the connected amplifier and other devices determine the operating functions available in the complete system.
For deployment, identify the analog audio and digital AES/EBU connection groups relevant to the selected configuration, then follow the corresponding system connection instructions. Keep the exact panel model in the rack equipment schedule. This makes its intended connection arrangement clear when related racks use different amplifier counts, network interfaces or external patching requirements.
