RCF RDNet Control 8 networked control interface
The RCF RDNet Control 8 is an advanced real-time monitoring and control interface designed for professional audio systems requiring centralized management and precise control. It supports up to 256 devices in bus topology or 128 devices in ring topology, making it suitable for both small installations and large-scale sound reinforcement systems.
The unit enables seamless communication between connected devices and a computer via USB or Ethernet, providing flexibility for both local and remote system management. Through the proprietary RDNet protocol, the interface connects directly to DSP-equipped devices, allowing sound engineers to control individual units or groups with high precision. Parameters such as presets, equalization, delay, and system configuration can be adjusted in real time.
The RDNet Control 8 continuously scans all connected devices up to 10 times per second, ensuring fast data refresh and accurate monitoring of system performance. Key operational data including RMS levels, temperature, fan speed, limiter activity, and warning signals are displayed to the user, enabling proactive system management and fault detection.
The system supports up to 8 subnets with a maximum of 32 devices per subnet, offering scalable configuration options. It also includes removable SD card storage for saving user configurations and subnet filter settings. The interface can route data through XLR connectors, allowing integration with traditional multi-core cabling systems.
Built in a durable metal chassis and designed for standard 19-inch rack mounting, the RDNet Control 8 is engineered for reliability in professional touring and installation environments.
