The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova Center Channel is a premium-grade loudspeaker created to serve as the core of a home theater system, ensuring precise vocal reproduction and seamless integration with other speakers. As part of the Olympica Nova series, it reflects Sonus Faber’s commitment to Italian craftsmanship, combining traditional woodworking artistry with modern acoustic engineering to achieve a realistic and emotionally engaging sound presentation.

The enclosure is constructed from eight layers of carefully shaped plywood, designed without flat or parallel surfaces to minimize internal reflections, standing waves, and resonances. This structural approach enhances clarity and sonic purity while preserving the distinctive asymmetrical lute-inspired cabinet design, which also improves room placement flexibility and bass response tuning.

The cabinet’s flowing, organic geometry is inspired by natural forms, promoting smoother airflow behavior and improved acoustic transparency. The bass reflex system is fully integrated into the cabinet design rather than externally attached, resulting in faster response, reduced turbulence, and more controlled low-frequency performance.

The speaker employs a three-way configuration featuring a 28 mm silk dome tweeter equipped with DAD (Damped Apex Dome) technology and a neodymium magnetic system for refined high-frequency accuracy. The midrange driver, derived from Sonus Faber’s Homage Tradition series, uses a cellulose-based cone for lifelike vocal reproduction. The woofer combines cellulose and syntactic foam layers, offering enhanced rigidity, reduced distortion, and tight bass control.

A Paracross Topology crossover network ensures efficient signal distribution with minimal interference and improved transient behavior. With crossover points set at 250 Hz and 1550 Hz, it provides smooth transitions between frequency ranges for coherent sound output.

Evolving from earlier Olympica designs, the Nova Center Channel integrates improved driver technology, refined internal volume tuning, and updated acoustic architecture.
