The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova II is the entry-level floorstanding model within the Olympica Nova series, designed to deliver refined high-end audio performance in a more space-efficient form. It embodies Sonus Faber’s Italian design tradition, blending artisanal woodworking with modern acoustic engineering to achieve a rich, natural, and emotionally engaging listening experience.

Its cabinet is shaped with a distinctive asymmetrical, lute-inspired form that improves acoustic dispersion and reduces sensitivity to room placement. By eliminating parallel internal surfaces, the design effectively suppresses standing waves and internal resonances, ensuring cleaner and more accurate sound output.

The enclosure is built using multiple layers of natural wood, carefully bonded to enhance rigidity and minimize structural vibrations. The top and front surfaces are also finished in real wood, while an aluminum top plate adds strength and structural refinement. Internal bracing elements further improve damping performance and overall enclosure stability.

The Stealth Ultraflex bass reflex system uses a vertical slot port with a precision-shaped aluminum insert. This design regulates airflow to minimize turbulence and distortion, resulting in tight, controlled, and well-defined bass performance.

The speaker features a three-way driver arrangement consisting of a 28 mm silk dome tweeter with a neodymium DAD motor system, a 6-inch dome midrange driver, and a 7.2-inch cellulose cone woofer. A carefully engineered crossover network operates between 250 Hz and 2,500 Hz, ensuring smooth transitions between frequency ranges.

The Paracross Topology crossover architecture reduces electrical noise and enhances transient accuracy while improving overall signal purity. High-quality components, including custom ClarityCap capacitors, contribute to precise tonal balance.
