The VPL-XW5000ES uses three 0.61 inch SXRD panels to display a native 3840 × 2160 image. Its laser diode light source provides 2,000 lumens of light output, supporting large screen projection with detailed textures and clearly defined picture elements.

X1 Ultimate for projector combines object based HDR remastering, object based Super Resolution and dual database processing. Dynamic HDR Enhancer adjusts contrast for HDR scenes, while Digital Focus Optimizer compensates for optical limitations to preserve fine detail.

HDR10 and HLG compatibility allow the projector to accept supported high dynamic range sources. Motionflow processing provides motion handling options for moving images. Two HDMI inputs with HDCP 2.3 accommodate compatible video equipment, supporting home cinema integration.

Manual focus, zoom and lens shift provide optical adjustment during installation. The specified throw ratio helps installers plan projector distance for the screen. Ethernet and RS 232C connections support integration with external control systems. The black cabinet provides a distinct finish for the installation. Optical adjustment includes approximately 1.6x manual zoom and a throw ratio from 1.38:1 to 2.21:1. Lens shift extends vertically by up to 71 percent and horizontally by up to 25 percent. Compatible sources can supply 4K video at 60 Hz or Full HD at 120 Hz. These capabilities give the installer separate controls for picture size, position and focus. The projector measures 460 mm wide, 200 mm high and 472 mm deep, with an approximate weight of 13 kg. Rated power consumption is 295 W. The projector supports an AC supply from 100 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 Hz, accommodating compatible installation power systems.
