Soundcraft Vi2000 Digital Mixing Console

The Soundcraft Vi2000 brings the mixing power of Soundcraft’s Vi Series digital consoles into a single-box, cost-effective package aimed at live touring, installed, and corporate AV markets. It combines the same Vistonics-based control surface concepts found in the larger Vi3000, Vi5000, and Vi7000 consoles with Soundcraft SpiderCore, a compact integrated DSP and I/O engine based on Studer technology that resides directly inside the control surface.

Running the latest console software, the Vi2000 includes vMIX automatic microphone mixing alongside the acclaimed BSS DPR901ii Dynamic EQ, accessed through an insertable processing pool that also hosts Lexicon multi-effects and the ability to insert external hardware devices. Onboard mic and line I/O can be configured up to 48 mic/line inputs and 16 line outputs using combinations of 16-channel XLR modules across four rear-mounted slots.

Two 64-channel expansion slots allow connection of MADI-based stageboxes, while a built-in Dante interface, complemented by an additional optical MADI interface, supports record feeds and connection to the Soundcraft Realtime Rack plug-in engine for Universal Audio UAD-powered processing.

An ultra-compact frame just 1.15 m wide houses 16 input faders and 8 output faders, making the Vi2000 suitable for space- and budget-restricted applications without sacrificing the patented FaderGlow, VM2 microphone monitoring, and Vistonics workflow that define the Vi Series. A 40-bit floating point DSP environment running Studer, BSS, Lexicon, and dbx algorithms ensures the console retains the sound quality associated with the full Vi range.
