The Canton Reference 5 is a medium-sized 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed to deliver lively, natural, and highly detailed sound. Its elegantly curved, edge-free cabinet combines modern aesthetics with acoustic precision, providing optimal dispersion and low-resonance performance for immersive listening experiences.

The speaker features advanced Black Ceramic Tungsten (BCT) diaphragms in the midrange and woofers. In these diaphragms, 25% of the aluminum structure is converted into ceramic and reinforced with tungsten and additional metal particles, achieving an ideal stiffness-to-weight ratio while reducing unwanted resonance. TCC technology in the midrange diaphragm further stabilizes the membrane for precise, distortion-free reproduction. The bass guide system ensures even low-frequency distribution and allows flexible placement in medium-sized rooms.

The Reference 5 integrates two 174 mm BCT woofers for controlled, rich bass and a 174 mm midrange driver housed in its own chamber for authentic midrange reproduction. High frequencies are reproduced by a 25 mm aluminum oxide ceramic dome tweeter, providing clear and homogeneous treble. Drivers are flush-mounted with round baffles and enhanced with Wave Beading technology for smooth transient response, even at high volumes.

High-quality WBT Nextgen terminals support single, bi-wiring, and bi-amping connections, with gold-plated copper bridges included for standard operation. Integrated Room Compensation (RC) allows fine-level adjustment of the midrange and tweeter in 1.5 dB steps to match room acoustics and personal listening preferences. The multi-layer laminate cabinet is finished in either high-gloss Piano Black or silk-matte White, combining acoustic integrity with refined aesthetics.
