The Reference 9 Walnut compact speaker brings high-performance Canton sound into a small, elegant enclosure. Built with over 50 years of speaker expertise, it incorporates floorstanding technologies to fill even larger rooms with dynamic and precise audio. Its compact cabinet houses a large mid-bass driver and an integrated bass guide system, producing deep and controlled low-frequency performance without compromising clarity.

The 2-way bass reflex system includes a 174 mm black ceramic tungsten midrange/bass driver, combining high rigidity, low mass, and internal damping for precise reproduction of bass and midrange frequencies. High frequencies are reproduced by a 25 mm BC tweeter with aluminum ceramic oxide material, offering transparent, detailed, and natural treble.

Laboratory and listening-room tuning, together with a hand-selected crossover network, ensures optimal driver interaction, balanced impedance, and accurate impulse response. WBT nextgen™ terminals provide secure, low-loss signal transmission, while RC technology allows tweeter level adjustments in 1.5 decibel increments to adapt the speaker to room acoustics and personal preferences.

The Walnut cabinet is specially designed for compact enclosures, with rounded edges and a circular baffle to minimize diffraction and improve sound dispersion. Computer-optimized internal bracing and carefully placed damping materials reduce standing waves and cabinet resonances. The Walnut veneer is refined through sanding and matte lacquer treatment, creating a warm, natural, and high-quality surface. Manufactured in Germany, the Reference 9 Walnut combines compact dimensions with premium build quality and impressive sound performance.
