The JBL Control HST is a high-performance, wide-coverage speaker engineered for indoor and outdoor commercial environments. Its 5-1/4-inch wall-facing CMMD ceramic metal diaphragm woofer, combined with dual splayed CMMD-treated aluminum tweeters, produces balanced, full-range sound with clear lows, precise mids, and crisp highs. HST (High Sound Technology) minimizes wall reflections, ensuring a flatter frequency response and uniform audio performance throughout the listening area.

Designed with rugged fiberglass-reinforced ABS enclosures and a powder-coated aluminum grille, the Control HST withstands dust, moisture, UV exposure, and temperature extremes. The IP54 rating and compliance with Mil Spec 810 and ASTM G85 standards make it suitable for semi-outdoor installations, including hospitality venues, retail spaces, theme parks, and other commercial applications.

The system integrates a 1.6 kHz crossover network (3rd order high-pass for HF, 2nd order low-pass for LF) with a 25 mm voice coil woofer and dual tweeters featuring neodymium magnets, fluid-cooling, polyurethane surrounds, and polyimide bobbins. It supports 8-ohm direct operation or 70V/100V distributed line systems, with selectable transformer taps up to 60 W.

Installation is straightforward using the included U-bracket with four M6 mounting points and an additional M6 safety attachment point. The speaker’s tapered cabinet, wall-facing woofer, and splayed tweeters reduce acoustic interference from wall reflections, providing consistent sound quality across the coverage area. Compact and unobtrusive, the Control HST is available in black or white finishes and pairs well with other JBL commercial audio systems.
