The Allen & Heath PL-14 is a dedicated intelligent remote controller designed to provide convenient local control of audio zones when used with the GR3 and GR4 audio zone mixers. Developed for commercial audio installations, the PL-14 enables non-technical users to easily manage music source selection and audio levels without requiring direct access to the main mixer.

The controller features a rotary volume knob and four source selection buttons, allowing quick switching between connected audio sources and precise adjustment of playback levels within a specific zone. This intuitive interface makes it ideal for restaurants, retail stores, hospitality venues, meeting spaces, and other commercial environments where local control of background music is required.

The PL-14 connects to the host mixer through standard Cat5e cabling via an RJ45 connector, simplifying installation and reducing wiring complexity. A convenient link-through RJ45 connector allows an additional controller to be connected, supporting up to two PL-14 units in a system. Installers can configure a single controller to manage both zones simultaneously or assign one controller to each individual zone for independent operation.

The controller is also compatible with the optional PL-5 infrared remote, providing additional convenience for source and volume adjustments. Available in versions compatible with UK, EU, and US wall plate standards, the PL-14 integrates neatly into various installation environments while maintaining a professional appearance.
