The Soundweb London BLU-8v2 is a HiQnet compatible programmable zone controller capable of controlling a single zone, four zones, or eight zones depending on the configured mode of operation. Its simple control surface and clear visual feedback are designed so that non-technical end users can confidently make changes to an integrated AV system without additional training.
The BLU-8v2 shares the same feature set and physical appearance as the original BLU-8 wall controller, but benefits from a significant internal hardware upgrade. Under the surface, the BLU-8v2 shares much of its networking design with the rack-mount Soundweb London devices, delivering considerably enhanced network performance and reliability compared with earlier-generation controllers.
The controller connects and receives power via a single Ethernet cable, and is configured through HiQnet Audio Architect using the same drag-and-drop logic object palette shared across the Soundweb London product family. This allows volume, mute, source selection, and zone control functions to be mapped precisely to the needs of each installed space.
Available in white finish, the BLU-8v2 fits within a standard 3-gang US wall box, making it straightforward to install in classrooms, conference rooms, retail environments, and hospitality venues where zone-based control of audio playback and paging is required.
