The Soundcraft Vi7000 is a compact control surface from the top of the Vi Series range, delivering what Soundcraft describes as the best Vi sound yet, with optional 96kHz processing, upgraded channel counts, and more reliable hardware built on live sound’s most established mix interface. The console pairs with a separate Local Rack and Active Breakout box, allowing simultaneous mixing of up to 128 inputs and 32 mono/stereo busses.

Sound quality is delivered through ultra-low noise microphone amplifier designs and enhanced 40-bit floating point digital audio processing, with optional 96kHz operation available depending on DSP card configuration. Effects come from eight independent Lexicon multi-FX units, BSS DPR901ii dynamic EQ integration, and a BSS graphic EQ available on every bus output, minimizing the need for outboard processing gear.

The Vi7000 control surface features 44 FaderGlow-illuminated faders alongside the latest 3D Vistonics II touchscreen interface, giving engineers fast, tactile access to channel and bus processing. An improved ViSi Remote iPad control interface extends mixing control beyond the console itself, useful for walking the room during a soundcheck.

Various local rack operating modes support up to 128 inputs and 32 stereo busses at 48kHz, or a reduced 64 inputs and 32 stereo busses at 96kHz, connected to the stagebox over Cat5, Cat7, or optional fiber-optic cabling for runs of up to 1.5 kilometres. This flexible I/O architecture, together with extensive ViSi Connect expansion options including EtherSound, CobraNet, Dante, and MADI, makes the Vi7000 suited to the most demanding touring, broadcast, and large-venue installed sound applications.
