The Allen & Heath dLive CTi1500 digital mixer was developed to address the growing demand for lightweight, portable control solutions in professional touring environments. A key objective during development was achieving a complete flight-ready package that met the common 23kg airline weight threshold. To accomplish this, Allen & Heath’s research and development team redesigned the console using a combination of titanium, aluminum, and Zintec materials. Titanium panels provide exceptional strength while minimizing weight, aluminum is utilized for the base structure, and durable Zintec remains on high-impact surfaces for enhanced durability. This innovative construction reduces the mixer weight to approximately 11.4kg while maintaining structural integrity for demanding touring applications.

The CTi1500 features a 12-inch touchscreen interface and 12 physical faders, providing intuitive operation within a compact footprint. Despite its streamlined design, the mixer offers extensive connectivity including multiple microphone preamps, AES/EBU digital audio interfaces, Ethernet networking, word clock support, and expansion capabilities. Engineers benefit from the same proven dLive operating environment while gaining improved portability for fly dates, touring productions, and space-constrained venues.

Operating at 24-bit/96kHz resolution, the CTi1500 delivers professional audio quality suitable for live sound reinforcement, touring productions, and broadcast applications. Its expandable architecture supports integration with external controllers, tablets, laptops, and IP-based accessories, enabling users to customize workflows and extend control surfaces when additional functionality is required.
