Part of Genelec’s acclaimed The Ones series, the 8341A SAM is a compact three-way coaxial point-source monitor offering the ultimate coaxial monitoring experience for mid-sized studios. It provides breathtaking stereo imaging, extended low-frequency response, and fatigue-free listening over long sessions, representing the cutting edge of studio monitoring technology.

At its core is Genelec’s Minimum Diffraction Coaxial (MDC) driver, which nestles a woofer, midrange and tweeter in a single location, aligning their acoustical axes to secure a precise, accurate point of sonic radiation. Dual Acoustically Concealed Woofers (ACW) extend directivity control down to bass frequencies, delivering surgical transient response and a holographic stereo image.

Amplification is provided by 250W for the bass, 150W for the midrange and 150W for the treble, all Class-D, delivering a frequency response of 38Hz to 37kHz (-6dB) and a maximum SPL of 110dB. Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) technology automatically detects whether an analogue or AES/EBU digital source is connected, and selects the input automatically, or allows manual override via GLM software.

The entire front baffle of the 8341A acts as a Directivity Control Waveguide, seamlessly guiding output from the concealed woofers, midrange and tweeter for an exceptionally wide sweet spot. GLM room calibration software measures and automatically flattens the monitor’s frequency response to match its acoustic environment, and an XLR output allows identical AES/EBU signals to be daisy-chained to additional monitors.
