The Eversolo DMP-A8 Gen 2 is a multifunctional digital audio hub combining a network music streamer, DAC, digital transport and fully balanced analogue preamplifier in a single chassis, letting it replace an entire rack of separate components between a network connection and a power amplifier or powered speakers.

Digital-to-analogue conversion is handled by an AKM AK4191EQ digital processor paired with an AK4499EX DAC, achieving high-performance audio with THD+N as low as 0.000075%, and AKM Velvet Sound technology for a quiet, natural-sounding presentation. The platform natively integrates major streaming services including TIDAL, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Apple Music and Deezer, with TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect and DLNA support for seamless connectivity across devices.

Connectivity has been comprehensively upgraded for this generation, adding SFP fibre networking alongside Gigabit Ethernet for electrical isolation from network noise, HDMI ARC, I2S output, AES/EBU digital output, and a dedicated subwoofer output with adjustable crossover frequencies from 40Hz to 500Hz. A built-in M.2 NVMe SSD slot supports up to 8TB of local storage for a personal music library.

The Gen 2 chassis has been comprehensively redefined with a more horizontally extended structural design measuring 388 x 265 x 88mm, and the optimised library system supports cross-platform playlist integration, global search and intelligent categorisation. Playback and settings are managed through the Eversolo Control app or the unit’s own touchscreen, making the DMP-A8 Gen 2 a powerful, single-box centrepiece for a modern two-channel system.
