The Klipsch The Fives II in Ebony is a powered stereo speaker pair that combines traditional hi-fi playback with television connectivity and network streaming. Onkyo-developed electronics integrate processing and amplification into the system, making the pair a compact entertainment hub for listeners who want several sources connected to one speaker arrangement.
Each cabinet uses a 5.25-inch Jet Cerametallic woofer and a 1-inch titanium LTS vented tweeter coupled to a Tractrix horn. A rigid one-piece BMC baffle helps control resonance, while the rear-firing bass-reflex port supports low-frequency output. The Ebony wood-veneer finish gives the system a dark appearance suited to contemporary interiors.
HDMI 2.1 connectivity includes an input and an eARC output for connection to a television. Supported passthrough features include variable refresh rate, automatic low latency mode and compatible high-resolution video formats. Dolby Atmos playback uses virtual height channels to add an immersive presentation from the two-speaker system without requiring separate height speakers.
Built-in streaming supports Google Cast, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Qobuz Connect. Dual-band Wi-Fi and Ethernet provide network access, and Bluetooth 5.4 offers direct wireless playback. RCA phono and line inputs, optical digital audio and USB-C audio allow a turntable, computer and other equipment to join the system.
A wired connection links the primary and secondary speakers. The metal volume control and source button provide direct operation, complemented by a backlit remote and app-based adjustment. A subwoofer output supports a compatible powered subwoofer, while selectable listening modes and a five-band equalizer help adapt playback to music, dialogue and movie content.
