RCF PS 6648 48V Voice Alarm Power Supply
The RCF PS 6648 is a power supply for compatible EN 54-16 voice alarm equipment, including DXT 9000 and DXT 7000 system units. It provides the defined backup-power interface when the mains supply is interrupted and includes charging and monitoring functions for the connected lead-acid battery arrangement.
The battery system uses a nominal voltage of 48 V and can have a maximum connected capacity of 200 Ah. Charging current is adjustable within the stated two-to-eight-ampere range. Battery capacity should be selected around the audio equipmentÂ’s actual power demand and the required duration of the emergency operating arrangement.
Six main outputs supply the system units, with a maximum current of six times fifteen amperes specified for these outputs. Auxiliary outputs are also provided. Battery-circuit control supervises the connected arrangement, while PC software supports configuration and monitoring of the power-supply functions within the compatible installation.
The power supply is certified to EN 54-4. The manufacturer specifies installation in the same rack cabinet as the associated emergency-audio system or relevant system section. The battery circuit, connected equipment and rack layout should therefore be planned together as parts of the complete voice alarm power architecture.
The black metal enclosure occupies a nineteen-inch, 1U rack position and measures 43 mm high, 483 mm wide and 321 mm deep. It weighs 4.9 kg and operates from a 220-240 V AC, 50 Hz supply. The compact rack format provides a defined location for the charging, monitoring and backup-power interfaces. The selected assembly should account for the dimensions of the accessory and the position of the supported equipment. Use the documented attachment sequence when establishing the final relationship between the connected components.
