The Soundweb London Telephone Hybrid Card is designed to populate any of the four card slots on Soundweb London chassis such as the BLU-800, BLU-805, BLU-806, BLU-320, BLU-325, BLU-326, BLU-160, BLU-120, BLU-80, BLU-32, and BLU-16, giving system integrators a modular way to configure the exact I/O mix required for a given installation.

The Telephone Hybrid Card enables Soundweb London devices to interface directly with an analog telephone line, providing 2-to-4 wire conversion so that the far-end caller’s audio can be routed into the local sound system while local microphone audio is sent back down the line, without howl-round or excessive near-end audio bleed.

The card is commonly used in conferencing, courtroom, and broadcast applications where telephone callers need to be integrated into a room’s live sound system. Combined with the Soundweb London AEC processing found on compatible chassis, the Telephone Hybrid Card supports clear two-way communication between in-room participants and remote telephone callers.

Each Telephone Hybrid Card card provides four channels of analog telephone line interfacing, keeping a consistent channel density across the Soundweb London card range so that chassis I/O can be planned and budgeted predictably. Cards are hot-swappable within a properly powered-down chassis and are secured with captive screws for reliable long-term operation in installed sound environments.

By using field-configurable cards rather than fixed I/O, the Telephone Hybrid Card allows a single Soundweb London chassis to be adapted over the lifetime of an installation as requirements change, protecting the integrator’s investment in the core processing hardware while still allowing the physical I/O to evolve alongside the project.
