The Canton Reference 1 is an imposing and powerful high-end loudspeaker that defines the future of premium sound reproduction. Designed with state-of-the-art loudspeaker technology and exceptional craftsmanship, it combines acoustic precision with a bold, refined design. Its flawless surface finish and advanced driver systems create a distinctive musical presence that reflects Canton’s engineering expertise.

At the heart of the Reference 1 are newly developed Black Ceramic Tungsten diaphragms used in both the midrange and bass drivers. These BCT cones are the result of years of research and provide highly dynamic, accurate, and controlled sound reproduction. For precise and detailed high frequencies, the tweeter features a ceramic BC cone made from black alumina, ensuring clarity and fine resolution.

The acoustically optimized cabinet features a seamless, sweeping design with smooth transitions between baffle, side panels, and rear panels. This edgeless construction improves dispersion, structural stability, and resonance control. The cabinet is internally divided into three precisely tuned chambers, allowing each driver to operate under ideal acoustic conditions.

Bass reproduction is handled by three 219 mm woofers supported by a newly developed bass guide system, delivering deep and controlled low frequencies down to 18 Hz. The 174 mm midrange driver, positioned in the upper section of the enclosure, enhances vocal clarity and spatial realism. Drivers are recessed into a rounded baffle and complemented by asymmetric waveguide rings made of POM material to optimize sound dispersion.

The curved side panels and solid 60 mm baffle, combined with extensive internal reinforcement and damping, ensure controlled dynamics and low resonance. Every structural and acoustic element is designed to support powerful, stable, and natural sound performance across the entire frequency range.
