The Canton Reference 1 White Matt is a commanding high-end loudspeaker that combines acoustic excellence with a refined, contemporary appearance. Designed using the most advanced loudspeaker technologies, it represents a future-oriented approach to sound reproduction while maintaining exceptional craftsmanship and precision. The elegant White Matt surface finish enhances its modern aesthetic and highlights the speaker’s sculpted form.

Central to its performance are the newly developed Black Ceramic Tungsten diaphragms used in both the midrange and bass drivers. These BCT cones are the result of extensive development and provide highly accurate, dynamic, and controlled sound reproduction. High frequencies are reproduced with exceptional clarity through the ceramic BC tweeter made from black alumina, delivering detailed and transparent treble performance.

The acoustically optimized cabinet features a seamless, flowing design that eliminates sharp edges between the baffle, side panels, and rear surfaces. This construction improves dispersion, structural rigidity, and resonance control. Internally, the cabinet is divided into three precisely matched chambers, allowing each driver to operate independently and achieve optimal sonic performance.

Low frequencies are generated by three 219 mm woofers working in combination with a redesigned bass guide system, enabling deep, controlled bass response down to 18 Hz. A 174 mm midrange driver, positioned in the upper section of the enclosure, enhances vocal realism and spatial accuracy. All drivers are recessed into a rounded baffle and supported by asymmetric waveguide rings made of POM material to improve sound dispersion.

The curved multilayer cabinet panels, solid 60 mm baffle, and extensive internal bracing ensure controlled dynamics and minimal resonance. The White Matt finish emphasizes the speaker’s clean lines while reinforcing its balanced blend of power, precision, and elegance.
