JBL ASB6128 Dual 18-inch Subwoofer is a high-performance subwoofer system designed for large-scale professional audio installations requiring deep, powerful, and accurate bass reproduction. It is equipped with two JBL 2242H 460 mm (18 in) SVG™ Super Vented Gap low-frequency drivers, each featuring a 100 mm (4 in) voice coil for exceptional power handling, thermal stability, and reduced power compression during sustained high-output operation.
The system utilizes a front-loaded, vented enclosure design that delivers extended low-frequency bandwidth while maintaining tight and controlled bass response. A large vent area supports high acoustic output with low distortion, making the ASB6128 suitable for demanding environments such as performing arts centers, auditoriums, worship facilities, sports venues, live clubs, and themed entertainment installations.
The enclosure is constructed from 16 mm (5/8 in) exterior-grade 11-ply Finnish birch plywood, ensuring excellent rigidity, durability, and long-term reliability in permanent installations. The subwoofer supports parallel or discrete driver input modes, providing flexibility in system configuration and amplifier matching. FIR tuning allows precise phase alignment with compatible JBL full-range loudspeakers, improving overall system coherence and low-frequency integration.
Multiple M10 threaded suspension points enable secure and versatile rigging options, while compatibility with optional planar array frame kits allows seamless integration into arrayed loudspeaker systems. Origin of country mexico.
