The JBL AW295 is a robust, high-output 2-way full-range loudspeaker engineered for permanent installations where weather resistance, clarity, and coverage control are critical. As part of JBL’s AE Series, it combines advanced acoustic components with a durable enclosure to deliver consistent performance in challenging indoor and outdoor environments.
The system is built around the JBL 2262H 300 mm (12 in) Differential Drive® low-frequency driver, utilizing a dual voice coil and dual magnetic gap design. This technology enables high efficiency, excellent power handling, and reduced distortion while keeping overall weight low. High frequencies are reproduced by the JBL 2432H compression driver, featuring a 38 mm (1.5 in) exit and a 75 mm (3 in) voice coil for clear, intelligible sound across the upper spectrum.
A large Progressive Transition™ waveguide provides accurate 90° x 50° coverage with smooth off-axis response. The waveguide is rotatable, allowing the loudspeaker to be installed in either vertical or horizontal orientation without affecting dispersion performance. The enclosure is manufactured from hand-laminated fiberglass and extensively braced to enhance low-frequency output and structural integrity. Its grey gelcoat finish offers strong resistance to moisture, UV exposure, and environmental wear.
The AW295 includes an integrated 400 W 70/100V transformer and a heavy-duty, weather-treated U-type mounting bracket, enabling flexible installation on flat surfaces or corner mounts.
