The JBL AW266-LS is a robust, high-power, 2-way full-range loudspeaker engineered specifically for life safety and emergency communication systems. Designed in compliance with EN 54-24 standards, it ensures consistent speech intelligibility and dependable operation in both indoor and outdoor installations where safety regulations are critical. As part of JBL’s AE Series, it combines durability with professional-grade acoustic performance.
This loudspeaker incorporates the JBL 2262H 300 mm (12 in) Differential Drive® low-frequency transducer, featuring a dual voice coil and dual magnetic gap structure. This advanced design delivers high output capability, improved efficiency, and reduced distortion. High-frequency performance is provided by the JBL 2432H compression driver with a 38 mm (1.5 in) exit and a 75 mm (3 in) voice coil, ensuring precise and articulate reproduction of voice and alert signals.
A large Progressive Transition™ waveguide delivers uniform 60° x 60° coverage, maintaining consistent sound distribution across the listening area. The enclosure is constructed from hand-laminated fiberglass with extensive internal bracing to enhance rigidity and acoustic stability. Finished in durable black gelcoat, the cabinet offers excellent resistance to moisture, UV exposure, and harsh environmental conditions.
The AW266-LS includes an integrated 400 W 70/100V transformer and a heavy-duty weather-treated U-type mounting bracket, allowing flexible horizontal or vertical installation.
