The JBL VRX918S 18 in. High Power Flying Subwoofer is developed to provide strong, extended low-frequency reinforcement in professional sound systems. Designed for both suspended and ground-stacked configurations, this compact yet powerful subwoofer integrates seamlessly with VRX line array systems and supports demanding live and installed applications.

The system features a JBL 2268H 18-inch Differential Drive woofer equipped with a neodymium magnet structure and patented dual voice coil configuration. This advanced motor design improves thermal management, enhances power handling, and reduces overall system weight while maintaining low distortion and accurate transient response. The front-loaded, vented enclosure incorporates a large port area to improve airflow efficiency and minimize distortion, enabling low-frequency extension down to 31 Hz.

Constructed from 18 mm, 13-ply birch plywood, the enclosure is built for durability and long-term performance. The exterior is coated in black DuraFlex finish for added protection in touring and fixed installation environments. A powder-coated 16-gauge perforated steel grille with acoustically transparent foam backing safeguards the internal components without affecting acoustic output.

Integrated rigging hardware simplifies connection to VRX932LA line arrays and compatible array frames. The subwoofer also supports optional suspension hardware and includes a 20 mm threaded pole socket for secure mounting of satellite speakers. With high peak output capability and versatile mounting options, the JBL VRX918S is suited for live performance systems, rental and touring setups, DJ applications, and permanent installations.
