The JBL VRX928LA 8 in. Two-Way Line Array Loudspeaker System is a compact, high-performance solution designed for professional line array applications. Lightweight at 12.7 kg (28 lb), each enclosure can be arrayed with up to six units, making it ideal for live sound reinforcement, touring, and permanent installation setups.
The system incorporates a Differential Drive® 8-inch woofer paired with dual 25 mm (1 in) neodymium compression drivers mounted on a constant curvature waveguide. This design allows the high-frequency drivers to work together acoustically as a single source, producing coherent, smooth sound dispersion. A series of amplitude shading switches on each enclosure provides convenient control over the output of each high-frequency section within the array, enabling precise tuning and consistent coverage across the listening area.
The VRX928LA is built with durable plywood and coated in JBL’s black DuraFlex finish for reliability and protection in demanding environments. Dual-angle pole sockets allow flexible aiming of each enclosure, while optional line array frame kits or M10 eyebolts support suspension for flown configurations. With bi-amp or passive operation and a 2.0 kHz crossover frequency, the system delivers balanced performance across the full frequency spectrum.
