The JBL VTX F18S 18-inch Compact Single Subwoofer is part of the VTX F Series, engineered to provide sound production professionals with a flexible and high-performance low-frequency solution. Designed for use as a stand-alone subwoofer, or paired with VTX F12 and VTX F15 loudspeakers, the VTX F18S delivers extended bass response and high output for FOH systems, satellite-sub configurations, and stage applications.
At the core of the system is a 2269H 18-inch Differential Drive transducer featuring dual 4-inch voice coils and a neodymium magnet structure. This advanced design enhances thermal performance, reduces weight, and delivers exceptional power handling of 2000W continuous and 8000W peak (AES 2 hour). The transducer also offers massive 3.5-inch peak-to-peak linear excursion capability, ensuring deep, controlled bass with minimal distortion.
The enclosure is constructed from 18 mm, 11-ply Baltic birch plywood and finished with a durable black DuraFlex coating for structural strength and long-term reliability. The cabinet includes 16 M10 mount points, a reinforced M20 extension rod receptacle, and integrated attachment plates for stacked configurations with VTX F12 or F15 systems.
Designed for flexible deployment, the VTX F18S supports reverse-cardioid array configurations via front NL4 connectivity, improving low-frequency pattern control in complex system setups. Multiple integrated handles ensure safe and convenient transport, making the JBL VTX F18S a compact yet high-output subwoofer solution for professional reinforcement applications.
