The KEF R8 Meta Dolby Atmos Surround Speaker brings cinematic audio to your home theater with versatile placement and advanced acoustic technology. Designed for use as a rear or surround speaker, it features an integrated wall mount or can sit atop another speaker to bounce sound for Dolby Atmos height effects, eliminating the need for custom installation.

At its core, the R8 Meta incorporates KEF’s 12th generation Uni-Q driver array with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), allowing precise control of high-frequency dispersion for accurate 3D sound imaging. The 25 mm vented aluminium dome tweeter with MAT delivers clear, detailed high frequencies, while the 130 mm aluminium cone mid/low driver provides punchy, controlled bass and midrange response.

Its two-way closed-box design and 2.6 kHz crossover ensure smooth frequency transitions, while harmonic distortion remains extremely low—less than 1% above 220 Hz and below 0.5% from 320 Hz to 20 kHz. With sensitivity of 85 dB and amplifier power range of 25–150 W, the R8 Meta produces maximum output of 106 dB, ensuring an impactful and immersive listening experience.

Built with premium finishes in Black Gloss, White Gloss, or Walnut, the R8 Meta measures 174 × 175 × 259 mm (H × W × D) and weighs 4.5 kg, combining elegant design with high-performance engineering.
