The STAX SR-009D electrostatic earspeaker is designed for uncompromising high-fidelity audio reproduction, combining advanced electrostatic driver technology with premium materials and refined ergonomic engineering. Developed as an evolution of the renowned SR-009 platform, the SR-009D delivers exceptional transparency, low distortion, and highly detailed sound performance for critical listening applications.

At the center of the SR-009D is the advanced MLER (Multi-Layer-Electrode) technology, originally introduced with the SR-009 series. The fixed electrode structure is created by bonding three stainless steel plates at the atomic level using thermal diffusion technology without adhesives. This construction improves structural precision, minimizes resonance, and enhances sound wave transmission, resulting in highly accurate and transparent audio reproduction across the frequency spectrum.

The open-air electrostatic design produces a spacious and natural soundstage while maintaining excellent clarity and transient response. A newly developed lightweight injection-moulded unit casing reduces overall weight, improving comfort during extended listening sessions. The adjustable headband system incorporates a 10-step click mechanism for precise fitting across different head sizes and listening preferences.

The SR-009D also introduces a detachable cable structure for easier maintenance and upgrade flexibility. Premium genuine sheep leather earpads provide long-term comfort and improved acoustic sealing around the ears.
