JBL AC16 6-inch 2-way loudspeaker
The JBL AC16 is an ultra-compact, high-output 2-way loudspeaker designed for professional fixed-installation applications. Manufactured in Mexico, it belongs to JBL’s AE Compact family within the AE Series, offering precise coverage, clear audio reproduction, and flexible installation options in a small footprint. The AC16 is engineered to meet the needs of designers and performers requiring high-fidelity sound in a compact form factor.
It features a 165 mm (6.5-inch) low-frequency transducer combined with a 1-inch exit compression driver, providing accurate midrange response and crisp high-frequency detail. The PT™ Progressive Transition waveguide delivers a consistent 90° x 90° coverage pattern, ensuring uniform sound distribution across listening areas. Its passive crossover design allows easy integration into professional audio systems.
The enclosure is made from 12 mm and 15 mm exterior-grade multi-ply hardwood plywood, providing durability and long-term structural integrity. The black finish gives the loudspeaker a professional, unobtrusive appearance suitable for a wide range of venues. Connectivity is supported via dual Neutrik NL4 connectors and screw terminals for secure and flexible system wiring.
The AC16 handles up to 320 W program power, delivering reliable output for demanding applications. Multiple attachment points enable mounting with optional U-brackets, third-party OmniMount® brackets, or stand mounts, offering versatile installation options for walls, ceilings, or stands.
