The Allen & Heath ZED-12FX is a versatile analogue mixer designed for musicians, bands, venues, and recording applications requiring professional audio performance in a compact format. Combining six premium microphone channels, multiple stereo inputs, integrated digital effects, and USB audio connectivity, the mixer is equally suited for live performances and studio recording environments.
The mixer features six mono mic/line channels equipped with high-gain DuoPre microphone preamps that provide exceptionally low noise, wide dynamic range, and up to 69 dB of gain. Each mono channel includes a responsive 3-band EQ with sweepable midrange and MusiQ technology, allowing precise tonal shaping while maintaining a natural and musical sound.
Three stereo input channels support keyboards, media players, and additional line-level sources, each equipped with dedicated 2-band equalization. The integrated DSP effects processor offers sixteen professional-quality effects, including multiple reverbs, delays, chorus, flanger, and stereo expansion effects. Convenient tap-tempo functionality allows quick adjustment of delay-based effects during live performances.
The ZED-12FX also provides extensive routing capabilities with four Aux and FX sends, separate monitor outputs, dual headphone connections, stereo recording outputs, and a mono summed output for additional sound reinforcement applications. The integrated USB audio interface enables stereo recording and playback with Mac and Windows computers, making the mixer an excellent solution for live recording and content creation.
