The Allen & Heath ZED-14 is a versatile analogue mixer designed for project studios, houses of worship, live performances, and audio production environments requiring professional sound quality and flexible connectivity. Combining high-performance microphone preamps, extensive routing capabilities, and USB audio interfacing, the mixer delivers reliable performance in a compact and portable format.
The mixer features six mono input channels equipped with premium DuoPre microphone preamps, providing low-noise operation, high headroom, and a wide gain range for microphones and line-level sources. Each mono channel includes a responsive 3-band equalizer with sweepable midrange and a switchable high-pass filter, enabling precise tonal shaping and effective control of unwanted low-frequency content.
Four stereo input channels provide convenient connectivity for keyboards, media players, synthesizers, and external processors. These channels incorporate dedicated 2-band equalization for efficient tone adjustment of stereo sources. All channels feature long-throw 100 mm faders, mute and PFL functions, and independent auxiliary send controls for monitor mixes and external effects processing.
The ZED-14 includes comprehensive routing options with four auxiliary sends, stereo returns, dedicated monitor outputs, and USB audio connectivity for direct recording and playback with Mac and Windows computers. Insert points on all mono channels and the stereo bus facilitate integration with external dynamics processors and equalizers.
