The dbx 510 Subharmonic Synthesizer brings the renowned dbx Subharmonic Synthesis technology to the versatile 500 Series format, providing professional audio engineers with powerful low-frequency enhancement in a compact module. Designed for studio recording, live sound, touring systems, broadcasting, theatre, film sound, nightclub installations, and DJ applications, the 510 delivers deep, impactful bass by generating a new waveform exactly one octave below the original low-frequency content. This patented synthesis process creates musical, controlled subharmonics that significantly enhance the listening experience without affecting the clarity of midrange and high-frequency audio.

The module incorporates two independently adjustable bands of subharmonic synthesis, allowing precise control over the generated bass frequencies for smooth, natural results across a wide range of program material. An independent Low Frequency Boost circuit further enhances system performance by maximizing the output of high-performance low-frequency speaker systems, delivering greater depth and impact where it is needed most. Unlike conventional bass enhancement techniques, the dbx synthesis process preserves overall audio balance while producing tight, powerful low-end response.
