The Bose ControlSpace CC-16 zone controller is an elegant, wall-mounted device that provides end-user control over a ControlSpace engineered sound processor system. It is intended for occupants who need more than simple volume adjustment, offering a programmable interface that can be tailored to the exact controls a space requires.
Custom programming performed in ControlSpace Designer software determines what the CC-16 can control, from switching between remote audio sources to recalling pre-configured system ‘scenes’ for different room usage scenarios. This flexibility makes the CC-16 well suited to spaces that are reconfigured throughout the day, such as meeting rooms, worship spaces, or multipurpose venues.
A bitmap LCD display combined with four control buttons lets users navigate available options and see the current system status at a glance. On-screen wording is fully customizable during programming, so labels can match the terminology used elsewhere in the building rather than generic factory defaults.
The CC-16 connects to a ControlSpace ESP-88 processor over an RS-485 network, with up to fifteen units supported per processor and a maximum cable run of 2000 feet in a daisy-chain configuration. ControlSpace Designer’s Smart Simulation feature lets integrators verify programming on a virtual CC-16 display before ever connecting the physical hardware.
